Well you obviously don't follow Valve very well. TF2 was ported by EA, and had little to no support. Valve hated the PS3 until the announcement with Portal 2 where they "made right" their little outburst against it with Steam integration and all. L4D3 is a possibility.

They could release it now though. Do you even know how many ps3 users would buy left 4 dead 1 and or 2?

Do you know how many users would? Because I'm pretty sure nobody does unless you know the future.

I would guess enough to make it worth porting.

I would also guess that Valve is probably going to wait for L4D3 or some other big title, and then do a pack-in or tie-in or something like that.

left 4 dead is 5 gigs, left 4 dead 2 is 7 gigs. They could probably fit portal 2 into there too and tf2 with the hat update.

Problem is this would only work on a blueray disk. No way this would work for the 360 so I think thats not gonna be a viable plan for valve.

Are you guys kidding me? It takes Valve 6 to 9 months to convert their own L4D1 maps to L4D2, and thats on the same platform. It takes them even longer to get motivated enough to make a completely new map, then your lucky if you get one thats 15 minutes long. Your asking a lot from Valve to take what they have and port it to PS3 (valve by the way, still has a laundry list of glitches on existing L4D and L4D2 maps and doesn't seem to care to fix anytime soon).

I am on the same page as you. Everyone seems to act like Valve is a perfect company.

I dont think anybody thinks Valve is a perfect company.. maybe best of the current crop... Valve makes good games, and yes, NO arugument, takes forever to do it. I think Valves big draw is for anybody who reads the interviews with the guys running the big companies, Valve seems to be the least Assholish. They dont get into pissing matchs with anybody and that a big one in my book (but to each his own). If you want to hate a company becuase they release stuff slow, hey, no problem by me. I prefer disliking sombody who tries to force competeing products out (football, is it good to only have one Pro football game?) and things like that.

Nowdays you have to hate or love.. no middle ground. 360 or PS3, cant like both, MOH or COD, cant like both.. Hate is the new LOVE :)

Personaly im sick of FPS. how many times can you remake HALO or a Modern war team combat game? At least zombies where new (and its a bit strange how all those other FPS games added ZOMBIE levels, wow, some real originality there).

to each their own, I sure dont think Valve can do no wrong.. The shit they are pulling in TF2 is sick.. paying for crap that is worthless.. and look how many sheep do it! Oh ya.. I'm wrong, they all "craft" it, nobody has bought anything from valves Man store :)

I was with you until this crap. Really? Valve made the game FREE for every PC gaming and added some minor clothing items for money and you bitch? I'm sorry, you must be one of those that bitched when Blizzard made millions of dollars releasing a $25 mount. So, the hundreds, if not thousands, of hours put into a game can't be justified by spending a little extra to get a hat.

And, let's be honest, all games are "worthless" to an extent. They are merely for entertainment and if I get more entertainment from spending an extra $5 on a hat, who are you to complain?

But what they do have out is fun as heck.

Not the case at all (in fact I find Valve to be pretty overrated in general), but let's be honest here, they can make money, and they've already done a lot of the work involved in porting it.

If anything, I think the fact that we were talking about them maybe tying it in with L4D3 (since people are bitching about them releasing it so soon after the first one), shows that.

Lack of focus definitely does seem to be a problem for Valve, but they've got to keep the money rolling in, and L4D seems to be their money maker these days, and they've made a lot of inroads on the PS3.

Didn't Gears have Horde before zombies? And I know Rainbow Six had T-hunts before COD did it. But I get what you mean.

Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 and Portal 2 are already available on Xbox 360. So I doubt that would be a limiting factor.

Shouldnt be a problem. LA Noire is on 3 discs so they could just make multiple disc game.
