Left 4 Dead 2 $39.90 Preorder

i was about to buy it, then i noticed the shipping charges...the 2.99 shipping says 10-14 days (some kind of usps)

after that it just gets more expensive and makes the deal less hotter... I'm going to wait for it on steam (paying 50 bucks would be like getting same day shipping on the pre-order 😛)

I was glad to see that mappers finally got the tools to create and share new L4D content. A couple of decent campaigns have been released, along with lots of Survival maps. If you've put the game down, you might want to pick it up again and try the new stuff.

For those of you who are interested in the L4D2, gogamer has it for 39.90 if you preorder it but the deal is only up for 48 hours so buy it quick!

Here's the link:

This is tempting, but I'm going to hold off and see if Valve offers something similar for people pre-ordering the game. I don't want to have to wait for GoGamer to mail out my copy, I want to be playing Day 1. 🙂

I found some Romero zombie mods, but could never get them to work. These made the zombies move slow and required the player to use head shots, explosions, or fire. Otherwise I didn't like the game.

Yeah, I've been playing through Silent Hill and Heaven Can Wait since they came out over the last few days, awesome stuff. Definitely worth trying out.

I prefer the vs mode although campaigns are pretty fun.
VS mode is especially fun if you're playing with 7 other friends

The only way I see people being dissapointed in L4D is if they don't have friends to play with. If you do, its an awesomely fun game. Even through many playthroughs

I agree to an extent. It really pissed me off the first time I jumped into a mutilplayer and I was directed to stand on some rock or pile of suitcases because the zombies had problems with pathing. Takes any and all fun out of the game. Other than that I hate the 'you are invincible' feel when you are rushed by 200 zombies. I like the zombie genre, but in the Romero style, not resident Evil.

I was playing some of the new added content, and it felt a little buggy to me. Maybe it was just the one I was playing, but movement didn't seem smooth, like there was an invisibly wall when I tried to strafe.

they even cheaped out on the logo, just photoCHOPPED the 4th and 5th fingers...wow original. After paying $25 for L4D on sale, I wouldn't pay more than $15 for L4d2 through steam since it looks like more of the same. Lame Uzi, weak sauce M16, and a couple shotguns? come on..give us some firearm variety!

Did anyone else expect this new content to be added to L4D at some point anyway, given the paucity of content/missions on L4D when it shipped? This feels like paying for Windows 98SE. Myself, I'll wait until Steam has this on a 50% off sale, and then I'll still mutter and curse at them while I buy it.

I just dont understand why they would release another new game when the other l4d just came out. Seems very odd to me. To make money I guess? L4d was like, just released. Are they unable to apply the same updates and improvements to l4d? They are odd...

I havnt even bought the first l4d yet....
