You are no way older than 20 Getty. If you were, you would know that Zeldin only made the gubernatorial election so close due to few caveats that had to do with both the candidates. Had Cuomo scandal never happened and Cuomo was the nominee, the margin would have been a lot larger. It was not the scandal that made the election close, it was the candidates and their support base.
