LED fans questions?

I'm going to be building my own computer. I plan on getting led fans. I haven't had any experience with them. If the light gets annoying to me, is it possible to disable the lights on the fans easily?

I have several LED fans. None of them have a way to shut off the LEDs. I never checked to see if you could just break off the LEDs. If you don't like the LEDs, though, I would just replace the LED fans with non-LED fans. While you can buy more expensive fans, many fans can be had for $1.50 - $3.50, and most people get by with "just" two fans (front and back, and not counting the fan(s) in the power supply). So, you probably aren't talking about much waste if you don't like the fans and decide to replace them. Besides, IMO LED fans are cool. I recommend you try them.

LED fans can't easily have the lights turned off. At least not the ones I've seen. If you want lighted fans that have lights you can easily turn off, you should look into cold cathode fans, they have switches to turn off the light and leave the fan on. Or something like these.

or uv reactive fans and get uv cathode tubes to light them..and any other uv reactive stuff in your case like uv reactive ide cables, power splitters etc.
