Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree....... Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree
Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree
+ 8 more Oh Christmas trees!

Last year I kept our regular ($75.) 7' lighted tree up for 2 months and burned out alot of the bulbs. So I'm looking for a decent 7' to 7.5' LED lighted tree so I don't have to go through the hassle of changing 100's of burned out bulbs every year.

Looking to spend up to $300.00/Pre strung (as long as the lights LAST)

Questions........
1--- How much longer do the led lights last compared to the regular ones?
2--- Any decent led "tree" brands out there or are they all generic?
3--- If an led light eventually goes out, is it easy to replace like the regluar ones?
4--- Or am I just better off buying a cheapy $75. reg. lighted tree each year?

I've looked on Ebay and Google but I get every generic name under the sun! I suppose the only trees that aren't generic are the real/live....... I mean, dead ones eh?

I would expect LEDs to last pretty much forever... they usually have a rated life of 100,000 hours.

But come on man, buy a REAL tree and put the lights on yourself. ;)

Edit: Unless you live in a place where the anti-fire nazis won't allow it

Uckfay athay! I love the times at Christmas but the lights can go to hell. I forgot to mention our last tree was a pre-strung regular lighted tree and it was great for two years! After that.....? I'm not changing 100's of crappy bulbs.

Real tree= dead anyway unless you plan on buying one with a root ball that you plant yourself.

PS--- Before I bought the prestrung, I usually put 7x100light strings on my real/fake trees!

I don't know if LED trees would look the best. At home, we have a fake 7' tree that splits into 3 sections for storage. It also has all the lights pre-strung, so we just have to plug in the wires to light the tree up; I don't think we've changed one light bulb in the 4 or 5 years that we've had the tree. It looks pretty good; a real tree isn't an option (allergies and other reasons).

That's how ours was for 2 years but lights started burning out after I left it up for 2 mths.
I love real/dead trees but I have 7 cats and it's not an option. If I find a cat pissing in my house......... It's going on the grill that night!

I'm just looking for suggestions on an led tree. That's all.

WTH does a cat pissing have to do with a Christmas tree?

I've had cats all my life and having a real plant or tree in your house= cat pissing near or on it. In this new house?........ I think not! I just paid 4k for new carpet when we moved in. No chance on the cats pissing on it!

They stay on a 20x20 screened in porch most of the time though.

I would give up one testicle to never have to chase down another broken Christmas tree light.

I told the wife we're not buying any more of those wire deer figures until they come out with one with LED lights.

It's a dead real tree. It's like when guys buy dead flowers to give to thier wives, same thing........ Here's some dead flowers honey

So, does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy or what LED tree to buy?
Squirrel Dog----- I saw one of those in FL but it was'nt lit up. Are they bright?

As I said, I'd like it pre-strung, so it's ------ Set up, hang ornaments and plug it in= DONE ;)

I actually like the look of the fiber optic trees. They shimmer in a pretty multicolor manner. As long as they don't get TOO carried away with blinking patterns.

I saw the LED lights at Costco.. 100 lights for around 7-8 dollars..

They were nice, only used about 6 watts combined, but they just weren't bright enough..

I think i'll wait till next year.. hopefully they will be brighter..
