I was real upset to miss the first one and now he's on again!

He actually played at my university TWO DAYS after winter break started so i missed out on seeing him by THAT much...

but yeah, just a friendly ATOT reminder to check him out before you miss out (if you care)

yes, yes, i'm tired of hearing about him too but i want to see what all the fuss is about.

Nothing really impressive....
I mean...he's real good, and he can probably beat me with no hands and so on...
but i don't think he's "worth" all that hype...
great vision like the articles say tho....and no jumper like the articles say too...
i'm no NBA scout, but i guess he has great potential, but what happens when everyone is big (NOT tall, because they are all pretty tall already) as him?
remember...guys like kobe/tmac/kg were twigs (and some still are) in high school, but still dominated...

It will take him a while to be good in the NBA...
Right now he is playing against people of much less talent, but in the NBA that edge is gone.

They said that about Kobe too. Not comparing.

Well, it took Kobe a couple years to get to the level that he is playing at now too...I am not saying James won't be good, but I am saying that there will be a transition period and he won't look THIS good till he gets used to the NBA.

hes gonna be a star but I think its going to take 3-4 yrs for him to develop into one. Expect him to only play 15 mins a game scoring 6 points a night his first year.

oh yeah...and as for high school kids...
how about that Amare Stoudemire???
getting about 15/8 straight out of high school...
i mean, he IS playing power forward which is probably easier to play than guard (coming from high school)...
but eveh Garnett and Kemp weren't THIS effective...

amare is the man! i drafted him in the 11th round of my 12 team league. he's my best center (he's a FC in yahoo leagues), my other centers are brad miller, antonio davis, and dale davis. (i also have ricky davis, 3 davis's, haha)

I agree with LeStEr on this one. He's all hype. I mean sure, the boy can hoop over some avg. 16 year olds but he'll be schooled very quickly in the NBA. That's just the way it works.

Right now he is a man among boys, but if he gets to NBA, he'll be a boy among men.

I saw him on ESPN couple of months ago, and he played well...against high school players
but it will be difficult to say how effective he will be in the NBA.

We've seen more high school phenoms fail than succeed in the NBA, only time will tell.

The thing you are missing is he has played summer camps and leagues against "MEN" and NBA players (Jordan's Nike Summer camp for one). They've seen him against better players and he still held his own. Also if you watch his passing ability for a 6-8 player, we're talking Magic Johnson skill. Magic wasn't the best shooting foward in the world either, but he's definately got skill. Considering the kid is like 16, give him time to get his shooting going.

When you have just about every coach, player, and scout saying he's the real deal....

So I flip over to ESPN2 and try to find LeBron, but then realized "ooooooooh wait, maybe James isn't in girls gymnastics"

;) Sucks that I missed another game, but I'm sure he'll be around for a while :)
