...Leaving for Utah today.

If you're a skier and are going to the SLC area, what is there to cry about? I'd love to get in some spring skiing about now.

I have some family (non-mormon) up in Salt Lake City. I go there once a year for about a week to ski. Its heaven.

I'm moving to Utah for my job in July or August.

I like how it's clean and quiet with fabulous views. There's no traffic and real estate is cheap compared to LA. I do wonder how an immigrant kid like me will like the homogeneous environment, though.

True BUT, you have no modern television channels all of them use technology 5-7 years old. You will NEVER see a Circuit City, CompUSA, or Best Buy in Utah EVER again. And people who drive in Utah are pansies, driving 5-10 mph under the speed limit. Also it gets D@MM HOT in the summer and SUPER COLD in the winter. And their employment rate is not looking good. My Uncle went there for a job and his job was terminated after abou 3 months. The store closed (supermarket). And Vincent, if you like anything like California or the east coast, Utah is not for you.

Ouch, man. I actually did see a Best Buy there when I visited. I'm going to miss Fry's and Trader Joe's, though. I could always drive to Las Vegas to go to Fry's. Who knows. If I can't stand it I'll try again to get a job in LA.
