Here is what I did on the weekend.
Friday-
10AM- arrived in Boston
10:20- Checked in to the hotel, Club Quarters. Bed is shorter than a normal full sized bed (Maybe exactly 6'- I'm 5'10" and the heels of my feet rested on the exact edge with maybe 2 inches between my head and headboard), but it was a nice room overall.
11:00- Aquarium, they had 3 different types of penguins looked like the 3 types from the kids animated movie "Happy Feet" They had the little penguins which are supposed to be the smallest species of penguin, the Prophet penguin with the wild hair, and the regular penguins from the movie.
2:00 pm- checked out the Combat Zone and Chinatown. The Combat zone is totally gone and China Town is like 6 blocks.
3pm- Ate lunch at the Hotel pub, The Elephant and Castle.
Snow gets really bad so I stay in and watch TV.
9:00 pm, Ate dinner at the Hotel Pub Went to bed.
Saturday, St Patty's Day.
10 AM, woke up and no snow, YAY!.
Freedom Trail all day
12 pm- Cheers on Beacon hill They had Bag Pipers from Harpoon UFO beer company.
Bought the mug for $6. Every Pub I went to in Boston serves bottles or 20 oz drafts.
1:00 Freedom Trail did it all except for the parts where you had to cross the bridge.
4:30 pm
Quincey Market area and the bars that are all around there, Packed Long lines going out the door and 20 feet out.
Churchill's Lounge Smoked a cigar (Rockey Patel aged 12 years) and had some port (Taylor 20 year) The place started to get packed so some people from Conn came to sit with me. When I was leaving they and the table of 12 next to us shouted "See ya, Rob!" It was a Cheer's moment and was awesome.
6:30-
went to the Kansas City Steak House (Plaza II?) rated top 10 steak house by Zagats. I had the large rare fillet for $39, not as good as Morton's or Ruth's Chris.
8:00 pm-
Comedy Connection- had 1 opener and the headliner forget who it was but it was mostly clean. The room was huge like the Laugh Factory in NY, except more seats. $25
10 pm
Bars had crazy lines still. So I went back to the hotel.
Sunday
11:00 Checkout of the hotel
11:30 Quincey Market to check out the clam chowder, Lobster roll, and Lobster bisque. Not that great, The chowder was kind of like Campbell's Chunky.
12:00
Hung out at Churchill's Lounge again and had an Ashton and 2 glasses of 20 year port.
4:30
Train at south station was delayed until this time.
9:00
Left NYC to go home.
Note to self, get luggage with casters instead of garment bag.
And go to the Oak Room
I was only in the Theater and Financial Districts, but Boston is definitely not as grand as NYC, in terms of huge buildings and stuff to do. A lot of shops were closed Sunday and some on Saturday.

----------------------------------
Next week I leave for a 2 day business trip. My team is meeting with another team at a 3rd team's site to discuss product support issues.
This will be the first time my company has sent me anywhere.
This will run 2 full days and then for the weekend I'm just going to check out Boston instead of going directly home.
combined the 3 teams going to the meeting will total maybe 14 people. Do I bring 2 suits? or is it acceptable to just wear the same one both days? Normally I wear dress pants with a shirt and tie.
resolved, going to bring 2 suits
