Leaving a mixture of 1/2 water * 1/2 Bactine out

I recently had a piercing and the care instructions are to use a mixture of 50% water and 50% Bactine as an astringent, multiple times a day.

I'm wondering if I just mix up a cup of the stuff, is it a bad idea to just leave it out exposed to the air? I don't think it would matter, but I'd like to be sure.

But dont you have a lidded jar laying around? Even an empty perscription bottle is better than nothing.
