Leave my current full time (non IT) job for paid summer internship in IT?

Should I leave current job for IT paid internship?

  • Yes, need exp in IT and it's a step in that direction

Here is another issue with the position (assuming of course it did get offered which I doubt). There are no benefits, but even more than that they wouldn't extend an offer until I graduated which means I would go from ~August to Dec with no job and no benefits from May/June until Dec (like health care)
