Leave cover off?

I hear alot about people maximizing airflow in a PC. I simply leave the cover off my case and let it be like that. Is this a decent solution to the airflow problem?
 
I certainly wouldn't enjoy all the noise, and dust will clog your heatsinks faster. However, if you really don't have a an hour for some cable management, it will work as a temporary solution. I do suggest you address the problem though.
 
For a while there I couldn't even find the cover to my case... Anyway, I've learned better now. If you've thought about the air flow in your case and worked on it, you shouldn't see too much diff with the door on or off. The door on keeps some dust out and the RFI/EMI in so it's best left on.
