Leather shag rug

hey all,

one of my friends has a really cool rug made out of small leather pieces. apparently, it's called a leather shag rug. i've found a bunch online but some complain that the quality isn't great and the leather pieces start falling out, or the color advertised isn't accurate, while others really like theirs.

are there any places that i can go to and check them out before i buy? i don't think Target or Bed Bath and Beyond sells these.

i think it's unisex, if you can call it that. when i saw the rug it looked pretty cool. i can definitely use one at my place.

actually the one i walked on did. you don't have to believe me but i'm sticking to my story. maybe it depends on the person...

are they treated with any kind of water proofing? I would not want to spill anything on one if it wasn't and i would not use it in a bathroom.

I've seen them in stores with actual rug departments, like Macy's. Not sure if they were leather, they were ugly like the ones in your picture .

I would go with the funfetti style, top right in your swatches. Never know, you might get home one day and Ronald, Grimace, the Hamburglar, and Mayor McCheese will be in your living room for a visit.

lol i'll have to make a trip to Macy's this weekend. man, i must be the only one on here that likes these rugs. i know what's wrong... you're all probably guys. we need a girl's opinion here... it's not official without a girl's opinion. ;-)
