Leather or fabric for my new furniture?

I'm moving into a new place and after I get settled in, I'm going to replace my 30 year old La-Z-Boys with something new. I may go looking this weekend for two new recliners and a couch.

For the couch, I'm leaning towards fabric. I like to nap on the couch and I've always had fabric couches. Whenever I sleep on my buddy's leather couch, I'm never as comfortable as on my own.

I have friends with leather furniture and I really like their leather recliners. I've never owned leather furniture before though.

Are there any major downsides to leather furniture? I don't have pets or kids, there's a slight chance I'll get a dog but kids are at least 5 years off I think. Will it look stupid if I have a fabric couch and leather recliners? Is the care a lot more work?

There is a new fabric out now, can't remember what it's called, it looks & feels like suede, but is soft like a fine fabric. It's virtually stain proof also. Very easy to clean.
(Not sure, can't find anything on Google, but I believe it "could" possibly be called """Ultra-Suede")
Got our entire Living Room set in this & it works very well, what with 2 dogs, and feeding the Grandson on it, spills just wipe right off without leaving a trace, & it does have the feel of a fine smooth fabric!

i vote for fabric of some sort unless its expensive leather, overall i think fabric couches seem to be nicer to sleep on, at least through my experience.

Microfiber?

The problem with microfiber is that it holds pet hair. I see he doesn't have pets but still. I didn't have dogs when I got my microfiber couch. I have two dogs now and it is a nightmare to keep hair off of it.
