Leather gloves with a suit?

Stupid question, I know...but can I wear black leather gloves (Ralph Lauren) with a 2-button dark-grey suit? Going to a lunch and pre-interview "networking event" with a big bank.

Obviously I wouldn't wear the gloves inside...

The event is inside, you will be wearing them outside, so basically you wont be wearing them at the event. Am I missing something?

Why don't you try? I see no reason that you could not, but you can always run a test before the event in your own home. If the clashing colors and fabrics repulse each other too strongly to physically fit the gloves around your hands, you will know that you can not.

This is what I was looking for...I'm a college kid with no fashion sense and no overcoat. Got the gloves as a holiday present from my dad...but I guess they are staying home.

You'll also look kind of ridiculous walking around the frigid cold in nothing but a suit. Ideally you would have an overcoat, gloves, and a scarf on top of the suit. You can probably get an off-brand overcoat for pretty cheap.

Why not? I wear white sneakers (high tops with the tongue sticking out) with a 3-piece suit. Ladies love it

I needed a suit for a funeral last month, and the fact that I'm a grown ass man and probably should have already owned one. When I was there and trying on the suit they sneak this overcoat on me. I honestly don't dress up much but that thing looks so fucking awesome on me I was suckered in instantly. They were going "Oh, its buy one get one free for the coat..." but I was already going to buy it at that point.

If you're in NY, an overcoat might be a good buy anyway.

With just a blazer/suitjacket you'd be alright but it will look a little awkward. For best effect wear an overcoat with the gloves.
