Currently i have regular fabric seats in my car and the support is fantastic...but lately i've been craving a bit more comfort. I've heard of leather car seats covers that go over the seats....i have yet to sit in one nor see one in person and was wondering if anyone here can give some feedback please!

Some aftermarket leather installers remove the existing cloth and replace it with the leather...I'd imagine the comfort and cushion level would be the same with the leather slip covers. Why would you want to though?

Why would leather be more comfortable? I have had leather on my last three cars and I am a bit ambivalent about it. It definitely looks nicer, but requires more maintenance and is overall less comfortable if anything.

black car + black leather + austin, texas + summertime = BAD

its like a damn oven in my car every day after school. its only 90 deg. outside, and my car gets up to 136+ on the inside

I can't wait for the 100+ weather....its going to be awful. I hope I can park in the shade where I am going to be working.

In general, car seat covers have to be very well made to fit well. My mom custom made the ones that were in my Accord and they never moved. If you're talking about some sort of slip cover I would be wary of it. If you're considering something like ericb is talking about, then I see no problem. Otherwise, I would prolly advise against it unless your upholstery is falling apart.

best quote i heard

"leather = rich man's vinyl"

i've got leather seats in the lexus, you know what - i think i like cloth better.

have you considered a sheep skin seat cover. they use to be very popular (my dad has one) - they actual are quite comfortable, "cool in the summer, warm in the winter" as the ad goes. they are extremely comfortable, and fashionably retro.
