Hi!

I know this is not the right forum, but I'm sure many of you can help me. I have a limited space in my entertainment cablinet (36" max). I want the biggest screen possible widescreen HDTV which can fit there (probably a 32 or 34). Do you know a model with thinnest side pannels (no speakers on the side)?

The entertainment center itself is 2000 bucks from my mother-in-law .. and shifting/changing it is not an alternative as it will involve going through divorce formalities ...

Please help!!

Do you mean you have a 36" space for the TV, or a cabinet that will hold a 36" 4:3 TV? There's a *big* difference between those.

The 32" Panasonic Widescreen HDTV (CT-32SL13 or CT-32HL43) claims to be 35" wide, which would fit in a 36" space with a bit of room to spare. I think any 30" would also fit.

However, the Toshiba 34" widescreen (the 34HF84) doesn't have the speakers on the sides, and is only 31 and 15/16" wide. I think we may have a winner.

You also might want to try over at a place like www.hometheaterspot.com or www.avsforum.com.

Thank you so much for your reply ... Yest I think 34HF84 will be a winner!!!

By the way .. as you rightly guessed .. my entertainment cabinet space is 36 inches .. so max TV width cannoth exceed that . Th 31 something for Toshiba will just work great! ... But then, ain;t I wasting the remaining 5 inches (I'm getting greedy now) ... so can the thinnest 36 incher widescreen fit?? If yes, do you know of any?

I don't *think* anybody makes a 36" widescreen tube HDTV. If you want to go bigger than 34" in widescreen, you're looking at plasma or LCD, and I don't know much about those models (as they're WAY over my budget).
