I'm planning to buy a microSD card for my phone(4GB or 8GB). Where is the least expensive place to shop? I have tried amazon, ebay, newegg, and was wondering if there are any other sites to look into.

check the regular deal sites, you should find something within a few days if you need to save the extra couple of bucks.

At NewEgg, choose Egg Saver (3-7 day) shipping, it should be about $2. With this or free shipping, most of their flash products are very cheap.

You can probably find some good deals on eBay as well, but I'd be careful, I think there's a lot of counterfeit flash on eBay.

DHL shipping for small things like memory cards and it's cheaper than the base UPS ground service.

DHL? I was hoping it would just be postal :(

Also, there is no "least expensive place." Pick a model and price check, just like anything else.

They should use USPS for small things - a padded envelope under 13oz can be sent 1st class.

I'm thinking that they don't do that because the DHL/UPS/FedEx shipping comes with a default amount of insurance. USPS is an extra charge.

There's no way to track the package using USPS unless they use express. They need the tracking so dead beats don't claim they never got their shit and ask for a refund.

psst.. there's a secret forum called "Hot Deals." PM a mod for access. Mention 'Batcave' code. they'll give you the counter-code for August.

I got my 2gig microsd for $7 shipped a couple of months ago.
