Least Damaging Type Of Alcohol?

Well, granted, alcohol is bad for one's health. But, if one goes out and drinks one-two times a week, and when drinking, the intention is definitely to get the buzz, and not to savor the exquisite flavor of Absolut or Wild Turkey or Coors Light, - what type of drink has the following - least damaging on the liver (in ratio to getting one drunk) and lowest calorie count?

Thanks.

All alcoholic drinks contain ethyl alcohol, and, given an equivalent amount of alcohol, each will get you just as drunk. The difference is in the sugar, flavorings, and other chemicals put in by the manufacturer. If you want something simple and low in calories, just drink a decent vodka.

edit: Is this a parody thread? Am I missing something?

I don't get it..
1. alcohol is damaging to the liver
2. alcohol gets you buzzed
3. you need a certain amount of alcohol to get you buzzed,
4. doesn't matter if you get it from beer or wine, alcohol is alcohol

I would think Coors because it is pretty much water. Try a boilermaker next time your out. It will put hair on your balls which you are obviously lacking.

no parody whatsoever. Was just wondering about how different types of alcohol affect one's liver and such. (curious about calories too).

here's the deal with liver: one of by buddies had a doctor tell him to either stop drinking entirely or at least to switch from beer that he was drinking a lot of, to vodka, for it would be better for him (I'm pretty sure he was specifically talking about his liver, but not certain). Also I remember some nutritionist saying something along the lines of that although hard liquor has calories, unlike wine and beer calories, they aren't all taken in by the body.

Just inject vodka straight into your veins.

actually, some people do alcoholic anemas. hits them harder and there is little or no smell.

There's different types of alcohol? And it's only bad for your health if you abuse it. Wine in moderation is benefical to your health.

Vodka and other clear liquors have much lower levels of congeners than other types of alcoholic beverages. This may have been what the doc was getting at. The other approach I guess would be to drink something like Guinness that at least has some good stuff in it (b-vitamins and whatnot).

Absolute taste fishy=yuk! Ketel One is a great vodka as is Grey Goose. Drink them cold and neat and you will find they will treat you well.

just hit yourself in the head with a hammer. It will give you a buzz, costs less, save your liver , is reusable, and will give you the same headache tomorrow morning.

There's a new fad in Europe now where folks are using vaporizers to get drunk. Inhale the alcohol and it gets you drunk much quicker, plus it skips the liver and stomach. Just don't over do it.
