Depends on how much "born talent" is built into the avg Joe. Also depends on Joe's goals as a guitarist, musician and entertainer.

In the Bollywood movie called "Phir Milenge", the song "Jeene ke ishaare" has some good guitar play that I would love to emulate heh

EDIT:

Found this from some forum:

"Here is another good song phir milenge

The chords are very tricky I am posting the chords for the intro lead and for jeene ke ishare mil gaye

Chords for the intro lead this one Is played after the beat starts:

The A and B chords are played in the higher notes that os
A== 577655: B== 799877

E F#m A B

D u d u u u u u u (strumming pattern )

Now for the next part

Jeene ke ishare mil gaye

E F#m G#M A ( THE STRUMMING PATTERN IS SAME )

After this again the same intro chords are played

i hope u guys understand what i have posted anyways the chords are original"

if you want to fool around, just learn by tablature. I learned a ton of MetallicA riffs and solos that way and don't know anything about chords or reading music.

EDIT>> about 10 years for me too... And you'd be surprised how many females in college were impressed just because you can play a song or two on the guitar. Go for it.

depends if you are naturally good with music.. anyone can learn a mechanical sounding riff on a guitar, it's the emotion you put into it

There's a huge problem with this and tablature sort of 'notation' in that there's no rhythmic notation, no sense of phrasing and harmonic content to really have an idea of what the music sounds like.

Here:

A // // // D // // // A // // // E // // // A // // // D // // // E // // D // // A // // // //

Now go start a band...

I'll take your word for it, but I think the guy who typed that up practiced while listening to the actual song. Will post later.

Well yea, if you heard the tune then you already know what it sounds like so the rest is about figuring out what the notes/chords are so something like that would work. But if you were trying to describe the music to me like that, there's no possible way other than blind guessing as to how the music will sound like.

That's simple rythmn guitar. If you can't play that after a month of practicing you aren't practicing right.

Are you serious?

If so, the common tuning is. (low to high) B-E-A-D-G-B-e
