Even more ominous was the stern warning White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer sent to Americans after Bill Maher, host of the now defunct "Politically Incorrect," called past U.S. military actions "cowardly." Said Fleischer, "There are reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do, and this is not a time for remarks like that; there never is."

What was this about? Did they do something to Bill Maher for saying something bad about the US? I never really cared for the show, but did they shut it down or something?

Of course, I expect most to dismiss this as liberal ranting (after all, its from SFGate), but I would like to see someone address the points the writer makes instead of simply attacking the writer....

it doesnt talk about the story, but the concepts found in the book. For example, it briefly explains what the ministry of truth is, it won't tell you what happens to Winston (I believe that was the main character's name)
