Learning the hard way....

You know how sometimes you do things even though you know better?

Yesterday, I was working with my computer trying to debug a problem. I was switching chips in and out of the MB. I put a Duron in (without a HSF), started the computer and thought hmmm. I bet this thing gets pretty hot.

After running only a few seconds, I directly touched the CORE of the chip. Some of my skin is still on it to prove my foolishness. Man was that hot!

well that's how you learn... by doing things you're not supposed to do...

you tell a baby, don't touch it.. it's hot... but babies don't know what "hot" is... so what do they do.. they touch it.. and learn their lesson...

hehehe... i hope you learned YOUR lesson 🙂

and thanks for sharing how hot a cpu core gets (though i think most of us knew already 😉)
