Learned a cool trick for better looking icons for my desktop.

Hi, so I called Apple yesterday and wanted to know if there was any way to drag bookmarked websites to my desktop and show the website icons instead of that ugly http: icon.
The answer was no but the tech showed me how to take screenshots of whatever I wanted to see for the icon then copy it and paste it in the info.
I replaced that hard drive with an apple then I have a link to my blu-ray collection at Invelos (DVD Profiler), Google and MSN. I am quite happy with the results..........

Thanks Patranus, I will save and use those at some point, I like to change things around every once in awhile, i've already changed the one above to a more blacked out theme. I will use yours next time I want to white things out. :thumbsup:

Thankfully its much cheaper to change out my desktop style then it is to change out furniture and accessories in my home. Because I have a very bad habit of changing the looks/style in my living room and other rooms WAY TOO OFTEN, can you say ca-ching$$$$$$$. I can't wait for technology to advance so much that we will be able to change the color of our furniture with the push of a button.

Where do I paste the image?

Right-click on the file and select Get Info. Click on the icon in the upper left of the Get Info window, and use Command-V to paste.
