Learn Spanish?

My kids are taking Spanish in school and my wife would like to learn the language as well.

Does anyone have any recommendations for self-study courses? PC based, non-PC based, whatever.

Many thanks.

You can get pimsleur lessons for under $200 if you look around.

They have it for under $200. I've used their lessons for Cantonese, and they are ok...but since it was audio only you don't learn the writing portion at all. Spanish and English are extremely similar in terms of the grammar, but there are a few differences so you might need a few books in addition to the tapes if you go the pimsleur route.

Seriously though, hang out with spanish [central america or some south, as southern americans have accents and vocabularies that will be useless here in the states ] people

Pimsleur is stuff for travelers to learn conversational pieces.

best bet is to take some community college courses.
