Leaktek 2000 XP TV Tuner

I just got this tuner today and tried it out. Works fine, except I don't know how to turn the sound off when I'm not using the thing! When I close the program the sound gets louder and removing the program from memory doesn't help either. How they heck do I turn the sound off on this thing? I tried looking for the manual but couldn't find one...

Hmmm...I have that same exact card but have never had that problem. Have you emailed Leadtek support yet? You may want to check their website, I believe they have a knowledge base that you can look through to see if that problem has been reported before.

So you are saying that even after you shut down the software, the sound still plays???

Also, there may be a newer version of the software out now that you should be able to download from the Leadtek site, it may solve your issue...

There's a .PDF manual and drivers on Leadtek's Taiwan site. I own a couple of these tuners.

Leadtek has released some really buggy drivers and software for these cards. Be sure you have both the latest drivers and the latest application installed. REMOVE the old application and the old drivers before installing the new ones. ESPECIALLY the drivers.

Also, I suggest extreme care when changing the drivers. The last time I did this, my XP box went crazy, removed some OTHER critical hardware from the Device Manager, and demanded that I re-activate XP. All because I changed a Leadtek driver!
