Leaking Caps on Gigabyte

everman

Lifer
I have 2 capacitors to the right of the cpu which seem to have been leaking. I took a look inside because both installations of Fedora 2 were unstable (I guess this explains it).

Has anyone ever RMA'd a Gigabyte? I can't even find it on their site, so I emailed their support people.

i thought only MSI had problems with leaking caps, but to your question YES that could be tha cause

Wrong, few years back virtually every brand,Epox,Abit,Asus etc... were effected by leaking caps, more info here.

Some companies like Abit,DFI etc... have moved over to using higher quality capacitors.

Yes everyone was hit by it. Supposedly someone stole a bad formula or something like that, and this is a somewhat old mobo 🙁
