I can't read everything but it looks like most of the specs that leaked out before are confirmed.

Also like that it looks like the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion might be a release or near-release game.

I'm really curious to see how the $299 XBOX 360 will compare hardware-wise to $2000+ gaming PCs once it is released. Are we even going to be able to buy triple-core 3+GHZ CPUs and R500s by November for our PCs?

Microsoft must really be banking on being the next-gen leader, because the loss on these machines must be staggering. More so than the original XBOX.

Huh. I guess the three 3.2ghz cores is legit.

btw, it says ATI 500Mhz. It's not necessarily R500.

edit: Hey, there's no mention of HD-DVD. Someone claimed it would have it in the other thread.

They've got the Live screen from PGR3. That should be pretty cool. It looks like that's going to be one of their launch titles.

I'm guessing since Toshiba only announced Xbox360 support a day or so ago it didn't make the print of this article. Supposed to be an official announcement this week.

They moved the black and white buttons to the shoulder so it is still 6 buttons plus two triggers.

It'll still lay horizontally. Which is exactly how it will be sitting in my entertainment cabinet.

Um, maybe MS is taking notes from HP as their PCs have no problems with vertically mounted optical drives.

Yes and no. My roommate holds his controller very strangely when he plays Halo. His left hand works as normal (thumb on analog, index finger on trigger) but he switched up his right hand. He puts his thumb on the analog (as normal) but he uses his index finger for the buttons and his middle finger for the trigger. He's extremely fast to jump or melee. My guess is everyone will adopt this style for both hands with the Xbox360 and use the index fingers on the shoulders and middle fingers on the triggers.

*The Xbox Silver thingy is correct, it will be there, and free.
*You will be able to transfer stuff from an ipod.
*You will see TV thru your Xbox.
*It can stand up and lie down.
*When you watch DVD, some stuff in the console will automaticly shut down - so its more quiet.
*You load the batteries on the controllers up via USB-cable on Xbox. You can also use simple batteries.
*The round thingy on the controller = "The ring of light". Its actually a screen, which says if there are any updates on Xbox Live. Downl. content and such. It also says which controllers there are in your hands, which number.
*Rallisport Challenge 3 will be on Xbox 360.
*The Darkness from swedish Starbreeze (Riddick).
*Peter Moore confirms Halo 3. Release this year.

*There is a picture of "Burning Sky". Seems like you can shut down the Xbox via the controller, by pushing "X" at that screen.
*The Xbox itself has wireless network thingy installed.
*Webcam in 1280-resolution.

*Something Microsoft Vision will be on Xbox 360. You will see TV on your Xbox. AND at the same time Play DVDs AND surf on the internet. At the same time?!?! wtf?
While all this you can get invites to games, friend requests, mail. MS is hoping that 50% of the 360-owners will buy Live. Right now, ~8% uses it.
*In the middle of a game, by pushing a button you will get directly to the dashboard.

Oh, and finally and most important: J Allards game of the Xbox 360 is "Fisher Price Nuclear Plant".

Course, keep in mind....consoles ALWAYS blow away all PCs at launch. Because the console isn't going to change one bit over the next 5 years. And PCs will. In spades.

now i know that most of the money in concole gaming is made in the games not the system, however if they sell that for 300$ they have to be taking a huge fvcking loss on it

more so then they did on the first xbox

Anyway, what is 10mb embedded ram mean? Is is 10mb vram and 512 mb shared system ram, or is it 512mb of vram and some 10mb of some funky high-speed gpu cache?

IIRC, the xbox gpu had an additional shader unit, so it was more of a hybrid gf3/gf4.
