Leak in my reservoir!

Hello everyone! I just found out that there is a leak in my reservoir. Thankfully it only leaks from the side of my 5.25 bays so it just leaks down the case and no hardware was damaged (PHEW!). I have a FrozenQ Dual Bay Reservoir and it seems like its leaking from the side where the cathode cable comes out of. I honestly have no idea what I can do to plug this leak. I paid a lot of money for the res so I am hoping there is some way to just plug the leak and use it for a little while longer before I replace it. I circled the area of the leak in the picture provided.(Not my actual reservoir just wanted to show you guys where its leaking from) Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!

I no longer use Frozen Q reservior because I had 2 reservior with same issue. I think your cathode light will die soon. That's what happened to mine, I spend close to $300.00 bucks for the 2 reservior end up in trash can. It was a nice looking reservoir when it work, but I ain't taking no more risk, I had my warnings. Worst thing i ever spent on in watercooling stuff. I migrated most my stuff from Silverstone TJ-07 to a Dimastech test bench case. I now use this:
"Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25in Reservoir for 1-2 PMP-450/S Pumps, Rev.2.0". No fancy lighting, but so far...it does the job, solid piece of hardware.

Doesn't the Res have a warranty?

You could possibly seal with clear silicone.

I had a XSPC dual bay Res leak once. Seems came apart so ditched it for a XSPC mini Res instead.

You could most likely seal it with Clear Silicone or something like Liquid nail.

Yes silicone caulking is the solution. Otherwise what is around the wire where it enters? If it's a rubber grommet you could replace that, though personally I'd still put a bit of caulking on it too.

I've had trouble with those types of reses in the past, which is why I run tube reses now. The simpler the design, the better when we are talking water in a computer IMO.

If you want a permanent fix instead of a band-aid you need to take off the front cover and reseal things on the inside where the leak is using Weld-On #16 Clear, Medium Bodied Solvent Cement for joining acrylic. It has the consistency of modeling glue but it is specifically made for acrylic.

You can buy small (1.5 fl. oz.) tubes of Weld-On #16 on Ebay. This stuff will run so the reservoir would need to sit up on the side with the leaking end facing down to keep the solvent in one spot.

^ I'm confused, from the picture it does not look like the issue is acrylic that needs glued back together, the red circle seems to indicate a hole where a silicone rubber insulated pair of wires passes through a hole in plastic, presumably through a rubber grommet [or it would be a poor design, uhh, prone to leak ].

The acrylic tube in the center of the helix that holds the cold cathode is leaking where it is attached to the reservoir wall.

Hmm, thanks for explaining that. Better pictures might have helped.

I'd prefer to both cement it back together AND caulk around it... or just get rid of the lighting and plug the side panel hole.

i think is better to get rid of it to prevent future damage to your components. I personally think is poor design. I had 2 and I'm done with, it bugs the hell out of me when I'm at working; wondering if my 2nd reservior is leaking.

One day, the the cathode is not working, and comes find I had same issue with water leaking in the center of the helix.

I'm currently using Koolance dual bay reservior, solid piece of hardware.
