omg, I started playing 2 weeks ago and have been addicted.

As a former dota player, i like HoN and love all of its features, but LoL's gameplay is way more fun for me.

It's a refreshing change from HoN/Dota and I'm absolutely addicted.

Anyone else playing this that thinks they have decent ELO?

I was playing with some nub friends, but most of them stopped playing. I also started using an alt account to play with them because my ELO got screwed up and made my solo queued games suck

I love it. Been playing about as long. Me and about 8 other people play together regularly. Lots of characters, strategies, tactics, etc. Very good game. I originally downloaded it cause it was free and messed with the Champion rotation, but I quickly bought some riot points and purchased both Champion Packs.

I've played this since beta.

If I have a good team, I'm ridiculous as Teemo. I also play a pretty good Singed. I love the game too but the matchmaking system can be absolutely ridiculous at times. Over the course of 120+ games, I've had 10+ game streaks where I'll win all those or lose all those. At level 20, I should not be getting matched with sub level 10 players - both on my team and against me.

Check out leaguecraft.com for a bunch of game resources. Champion builds, team builds, etc.

The game has two matchmaking ranks, 10- and 11+. If your 20 you will not find a game with players under 11.

Ive played since BETA as well and I found the game to start sucking once it went retail, it lost its value for me since you had to play a crapload to be competitive vs in beta you could have thousands of runes ect.

Well yeah, because in beta they wanted people to be able to use them for balancing. And it's not really that bad at all. The difference between T2 and T3 runes is small compared to the price differential. And it's only going to really matter in high rank games. Unless you are trying to buy a lot of champions, you can fill out both pages with T2 runes easily as you level since they are cheap (125-175IP for runes, 400+ for quintessences).

And while what you say is the same thing Riot says about matchmaking, I know I'm not the only one reporting this type of issue.

I don't believe this is true any longer. I have played in some games (on my alt, smurf account) where my entire PUG team under level 10 went against terribad players above level 20.

BTW, in the span of playing this for 20 days (1 day less than 3 weeks) I'm up to level 25 with about 110 wins and 70 losses.

Altough hidden, my ELO has been providing some pretty fun games, as fun as THR was.

Also, I do understand that Riot wants to make $$, but I don't believe that runes are that overpriced. For a player new to the game that wants to try out all the characters through IP, I can see one not being able to use many Tier 3 runes, but there isn't that much of a difference between T1 and T3 runes.

If you were to slot all attack speed, for example, you could have 20% attack speed (from t2 slots) as opposed to 35% or you could have... 200 as opposed to 300 extra health. (These aren't actual numbers)

The marginal difference between having highest level runes and cheap ones doesn't make or break the game "being competitive." A skilled player is going to last hit 10-20 more monsters early game and easily able to afford an item to make up for the difference.
