I already don't like dominion simply because too many people don't get the concept. Maybe it will come with time, but I doubt it.

The problem I have is my currently limited stable of champs isn't really geared towards Dominion, I did get Jax yesterday but he always seems to get banned or chosen by someone else.
Best game I had so far was using Malphite and stacking armor and MR to high heaven.
Also had an OK game with Yi, but didn't build him right and ended up too squishy.

Our little group was just discussing Malphite the other day and how we noticed that other than a bot we never saw anybody ever play him and then you posted this.

What we would like to know from your experience is how you build him to make him viable, i.e. equipment, etc.? What have you found to be his strengths and what weaknesses to be aware of?

Thanks.

Yeah but it is a lot easier to carry your team if you play heimer and hold a spot. The rest of your team will naturally attack but the other team will usually commit at least 2 to taking you out. Works like a charm.

I usually build him full tank, Armor, MR and tons of health regen.
Here's what I ended up with in the last match I played with him.
Doran's Shield
Ninja Tabi
Force of Nature
Randuin's Omen
Shurelya's Reverie

The problem I with Malph is that you have to have someone with you to spank while you act as a giant meat shield. I had good teammates in that match, I could charge in and keep the enemy team's attention while someone else (Ashe, TF and WuKong in that match) dished out the damage.
Save the ult for runners and protecting my nukers and everything goes well.

I'm sure there are ways to hybridize a build for him but I'm to new to figured it out yet.

Played some more dominion and it really feels like warwick dominates. Went with a hybrid build with malady for some extra damage and mostly armor/tanky otherwise, very capable of beating others 2v1 sometimes even 3 vs 1. Had a yi very confused why he was losing against me, I guess he didn't notice my thornmail or the simple fact I had 270 armor. Due to the size of the map blood scent is almost always up if any opponent is below 50%, so it's almost a free huge passive move speed increase.

Very nice. I am going to file this away. Interesting also that Ashe was an integral part because I read earlier that she was too squishy, etc. for this kind of gaming but someone made it work.

Thanks again.

Nice didn't think of using WW because I was thinking his lack of mobility would hinder him. He's a great 1v1 champ and decent 2v1 champ which dominion is mostly about.

I have found my new favorite champ, Kayle.
Stack stupid amounts of attack speed on her and use Righteous Fury and everything in front of you melts like buttah.

If you mean in Dominion, I've seen an Ashe in every game I've played so far. She might be seen less eventually but right now everyone's keyed in on her ult arrow being used to stop caps from long distance I think. If played well (ie. doesn't wander off by herself and always stays near 1/2 disablers) then I think she'd work well.

Like I thought, Blitz is a beast in Dominion. Speed boost to get to other points fast, grab to pull away capturers, and a good deal of tankiness to survive and hold points until reinforcements arrive.

Fuck my life. I keep trying to play Irelia but I seem to be always be put 1v2 top lane against a duo of hard stun and burst characters. Which means my farming potential is limited.

I had such an awesome first games with her too, why dont teams take junglers anymore?

In that situation, you need to get your jungler to gank your lane first since they will be pushing because of the 2v1 situation. Just play safe and get what last hits you can around the tower (should be easy with her Q) and be patient. Between you being a level or two up and your jungler with buffs, you should be able to secure at least one kill on the squishier of your opponents. Once they've been ganked hopefully they'll learn their lesson and back off a little (don't get too confident though) or else just gank them again.

In that situation just try not to get zoned out of XP. Let the lane move to your tower and farm under it. It's pretty easy with irelia. Also hope you got your hp regen because that's going to be keeping you there for a while. After you get to lvl 6 or so it should be easier. Once you out lvl them and get a few items you should be able to kill them.

Haha. Alistar is insanely hard to play properly. He is very positionally reliant, and headbutt+pulv combos are tough to land effectively on groups of people. He's been pretty balanced since the nerf to his ulti. I've played with some really bad alistars in the last few days. My buddy Prizmm plays a really good Ali, he can pretty much win the team all the fights.

Wukong has been intriguing me lately. He's pretty strong in top lane with his reliable strong harass. He's also getting buffs sometime, the possibility I've heard is a speed buff on his w, which would make ganking solid. Another buff to his e, or possibly a life steal component to his q could make him a decent jungler. His ulti wins teamfights.

i got raped by alistar + trynd. granted i had a few beers in me, but alistar's knockup allowed trynd to get in some solid hits. pretty potent lane combo. with no exhaust, trynd ended up walking over everyone :(
