Leafs vs. Islanders... and the injuries

Now I keep hearing people saying the Leafs are the dirtiest team in the league and so on.. what did you think about the Tucker hit on Peca and Gary Roberts's hit on Jonsson?

Personally, I think Tucker's hit was a clean hip check and I honestly don't see how people think he was aiming for Peca's knees with his hips

Peca even said that he didn't see Tucker coming so he didn't take the hit properly.... but thats just my opinion

Robert's hit on Jonsson is a little different... had Jonsson dug the puck out of the corner properly, Robert's would have hit his side and not from behind and it would have been clean... BUT since it was obviously from behind, it deserved the 5 minutes...

I agree with the Tucker hit on Peca. WTF was Peca thinking just watching his little dump pass? You just carried the puck for Christ's sake... this is the NHL... playoffs, no less. You will get hit. Tucker's hips were at Peca's hips. It's just the angle that hurt his knee.

I am watching the CBC (Canada) feed tonight... Don Cherry makes a good point about Jonsson's positioning right before he gets hit... I don't know how many of his 8 concussions happened this way, but Jonsson does not put himself in a good position to take a hit. You're racing someone to the end-boards at full speed... you do not just stop in your tracks with your head down after you corral the puck. 8 concussions tell you something.

EXACTLY! Everyone who plays hockey knows that when you go to the boards to get the puck, you DON'T face the boards... You have to skate towards the boards but when you get there, you have to turn to your side! Don't be an idiot and let the guy check you from behind and plant your face into the glass...

other than the controversial calls and plays... this has been a good series.. looks like a good game tonight
