Re-installed XP Pro . Downloaded the latest TV tuner card drivers. There were yellow unknown objects in device manager. Right clicked on each and updated drivers. Pointed XP to search for the drivers in the extracted folder of where the latest drivers were. Everything installed. Than installed the Leadtek tuner application.

Now while watching TV, the audio just goes silent. It works for a few secs and goes dead. Just great just great. I remove the tuner card drivers and software. Restart... reinstall drivers/tuner program, same problem.

Re-installed XP and made sure the tuner card was installed before the application and still the audio cuts.

I was HAVING NO PROBLEMS before I reinstalled XP. WTF

MP3s play fine as do games.

IMPORTANT FIX FOR WINFAST TV 2000 DELUXE and NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2003:

I just purchased a LeadTek WinFast TV 2000 Deluxe, and everything was working perfectly except for the fact that the sound would cut off within two minutes of loading either the TV or radio application. Everything always worked upon first loading either program, but the sound would cut out sometime around 30, 60,or 90 seconds after being opened. I noticed that the windows cursor changed to an hourglass for a brief moment just before the sound cut out, so I decided to watch the task manager. Just before the sound cut out, "msmsgs.exe" would jump from 0% to somwhere around 24% in the CPU column. I don't use MS Instant Messenger, but I did install NAV2003 on a clean XP install. Turns out NAV2003 was "protecting" MSN Instant messenger (and therefore loading "msmsgs.exe") which in turn was causing my TV and FM application to lose sound each time the CPU usage of "msmsgs.exe" jumped (which I assume was caused my NAV2003).

The easiest thing to do is just to prevent Norton AntiVirus from protecting MSN Instant Messenger under the "Instant Messenger" options.

Hope this helps someone. The card worked great once I was able to track down this annoying little problem.
