Hello everyone!
I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the audio capture to work with the Leadtek Winfast tv2000 xp (Deluxe version) tv tuner card. The picture comes out just fine, but I dont' get any sound at all. I am sure the hardware connections are correct -- it's worked before the problem occured and I haven't changed any connections since then. The settings within the tv player program (Winfast PVR) itself are also correct in regards to audio.
When I check the "WinFast TV2000 XP WDM Audio Capture" properties in the Device Manager, the status is "No drivers are installed for this device. ", even when the tab shows up as an installed device. I downloaded and extracted the most recent drivers from the Leadtek website and tried installing the drivers manually. When I attempt to "install drivers from a specific location", the driver package doesn't seem to have the inf file for the audio capture. All the other relevant inf files for tv viewing are in the driver package, i.e. video capture and crossbar, but no audio capture. If I select an inf file (any one) other than the nonexistant audio capture the computer somehow recognizes the drivers for the audio capture and allows me to "select" the drivers for that device. Unfortunately, even after "installing" these so-called drivers the device still comes up as "no drivers installed".
I've tried physically taking out the card and putting it back in (no connection changes, just in and out of pci slot), installing older drivers downloaded from the website (also missing the audio capture inf file), trying to get dscaler to work (in which supposedly I don't need drivers), and reformatting windows. I feel that I am a pretty experienced computer user, but I'm stumped. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it greatly!
Here are the relevant specs on my computer:
Win XP Pro (no service packs)
directx 8 (I tried installing dx9, but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem either)
sound: onboard sound of Asus A7V266-E motherboard (C-media)
video: Geforce2 GTS (most recent detonator drivers)
AMD 1600+ cpu
256 RAM
Admittedly, I just started learning how to use Dscaler, so I dont' know too much about it. I've managed to get video just fine, but still no audio, despite trying all the different modes. Perhaps someone with a similar setup could suggest a proper configuration?
thank you everyone!
cheers,
Eita
