I've noticed a few weird things with this great little TV tuner, I have used Hauppauge cards in all my other (3) TV enabled systems and am used to the 640x480 resolution, so the higher res on this card for TV is nice. Anybody know what resolution this thing is doing when in full screen? I thought it was just the regular 640x480 but then when I hooked it up to my vid projector (which will only do 640x480) it would not sync up. I had to manually set it to 640 res in order to get it to play on my projector.
Here is one of the things that bugs me, when you record something and then later play it back there isn't (or I can't find) much of a fast forward feature - I want to skip through as much of the commercials as possible.
Is there something here I am missing? I can hit the "Next" button on the remote over and over and that goes forward a little faster, but I'd like to "go forward 30 seconds" or something like that.
Next, when I play back a recorded file in the TV player it is fine except the audio & vid go out of sync when you hit "Next" or "back" and you have to fiddle with it to get it back in sync.
Finally when I got near the end of a 2 hour recorded mpeg2 file (about 5 GB) the computer rebooted!!!
When it was ready to play again I couldn't find a way to play the file from somewhere near the end, I had to open it in Media Player to go to the spot near the end and play it from there.
2 issues with that, why the reboot (totally stock non-OC'ed AMD XP1800+ system) and why no "play from any point" feature in the TV playback software?

Hopefully there are some of you with this card who know what's going on with some of this. TIA

I'll give this a bump by asking a question about this tuner. Does the software have volume controls on-screen or is it only by remote? And if it's on-screen, can you user the mouse wheel to change the volume by any chance? (My old ATI software did this and it's a feature I'd love to have.)

yes and yes
It has mouse controllable features as well as remote.
I like the remote much better than just using the mouse, but the mouse has other things it can do, like when you are setting up scheduled recording.
This is the best tv tuner I've ever had, now it would be nice to figure out some of those pesky little things I mentioned above.
