Leadtek WinFast A250TD heat sink

Anyone ever pulled the heat sink off the Leadtek WinFast A250TD GFTi4400? What have you replaced it with?

I have one of those. But i was just wondering y would i want to take the heatsink off?

Sorry, didn't put that in my main post! I'm looking into the possibilities of better cooling for my card if I needed to (shouldn't have to with that huge hs!), and wondered if anyone has done it.
