Has anyone here heard of someone putting a A250 inside of the new SS51G w/ success? The A250's heatsink looks pretty big (too tall in the pictures on newegg) to fit inside. Opinions welcome.
well i am not sure about the leadtek one, i am getting one myself that has a masive heatsink any day now, but surely you can change the heatsinks, say for one of those thremaltake geforce 4 copper coolers?
look at the last couple of pics and you can see the size of the heatsinks on the xabre and geforce 3 ti200 seem to have more than enough room to work with so i cant imagine the leadteks heatsinks are gonna be much bigger.
BTW the full size PCB geforce 4 ti4600 apparently fit in the shuttle ss51 just fine as well.
hope these guides/reviews also help, they are helping me decide to get one, which i am saving up to do so at the moment, i just gotta go through the hassle of trying to sell my main system so i can afford a nice P4 2.0Ghz or something!
however i am also like the looks of the G-Box/I-Cube can see a very sexy picture of it
Thanks a bunch. Sounds like we're going thru the same thing. I have to piece apart my old system and try to get at least 1300 for it. The shuttle box I want to build is this:
I've been debating on waiting for the NV30 cards to come out. By then the component prices will have dropped and maybe a new shuttle box will be released. I'm hoping they come out with a Shuttle that uses serial ATA and more fans to cool down the hard drive or possible two hard drives.
