Leadtek PX6600 GT discontinued?

I purchased this card from ZZF, but it was DOA and I had to RMA it. In the meantime, the card was sold out of stock or withdrawn and has not been seen since. Discontinued? No one is selling them anymore, for a while it was listed as being back in stock at Newegg with an ETA of March 31. Now it is completely gone from Neweggs listings.

Anyone have any info on this card? Too bad, it was rated very highly...

ZZF said they have no idea if or when they will get more of these cards in...they offered me a full refund. I think I'm gonna take it and go for the BFG card instead.

Any other 6600GTs anyone would care to recommend??? I liked the Leadtek cuz of the relatively quiet fan, and that is pretty important.

I've emailed Leadtek and will let you know if I get a response back from them. I called Newegg regarding this card, and they indicated that since it is no longer on their site, they are no longer carrying it. ZZF was unable to give me an ETA. All other retailers that I have checked do not carry this card.

This was the video card I had my mind set on for my new computer build, but now have to look for something else.

I've been wondering the same thing. I recently noticed that Newegg is selling the Extreme SLI Combo Pack, but I think it really sucks if such a well regarded card has been discontinued. BTW, has anyone heard about what's going on with Gainward? Are they going to still produce cards (and sell them in U.S. retail channels)?

I actually did email Leadtek and they said there is no way they are discontinuing the card since it is a very hot seller. When I asked how long until etailers get them in their warehouse, I got no reply.

This card was the top rated in AT's 6600 roundup a few weeks ago...I can't believe no one will carry it again.

For the little while I had mine (it never worked in games and tested bad when I RMA'd it) I liked it cuz it was pretty quiet.

Any other 6600GT's out there as quiet? I've read that the BFG cards are nice, but relatively loud.

Bonesdad - what was the issue with your card? If you decide upon another card, please let me know as I am trying to figure out a substitute card for a Leadtek.

The issue was that the card did not work. It was fine in Windows, web browser and some simple old games, but anything with DX just resulted in a fractured image.

I am waiting for a reply from Leadtek to answer my question: When will etailers get new PX6600 GT TDH in warehouse? Newegg previously had expected them by March 31, BuyXG has the same date. ZZF has no idea. I will wait until next Thursday to decide what card I will get.
