I don't know. I just really hate the current MSI PCIe 6800 standard (small heatsink, like a 6600 GT). I like how this one's heatsink covers more of the memory. It should provide for much better cooling, as do all Leadtek cards (usually). Okay, and I like the heatsink design, too for some reason. Now if only Leadtek would get it into U.S. retail, and if only we could get some reasonably priced nForce4 SLI boards before next year.

ANY PCI-E 6800nu/GT/U/UE, and PCI-E 6600GT can run SLI.

If you look at the card itself and the box, it has an SLI connector, and it appears that it's SLI certified. Anyway, I wasn't looking to spend $600-700 for a pair of graphics cards any time soon (my fiancee would kill me).

Supply and demand, Todd. PCIE X800Pros would be selling for $500 if you could SLI them as well. With all the reports of smoother gaming on SLI, people are pating the gouger prices.

What demand? How many people have dual PCIe boards AND want to spend $700 for graphic cards? There must be real low supply and no compitition between retailers.

its $379 becuase its SLI and it has 256 mem.. The boards you see for 299 ish are 128 megs. What i dont like about the lead tek card is that the MEM is rated at 600mhz. Thats lower than some I have seen.

I would get the MSI card, that has the mem at 700mhz instead of 600, but is $40 less.

and if you like the leadtek better for its heat sink, just throw the Artic cooling NV 5 silencer on it for $28, which is better than any HSF out there.

So for 12 dollar LESS, you will have a faster card, with a better HSF on it.

thats what I would do.

Just take solice in the fact that it's not you. No one here would actually be cruel enough to put you through the anguish of owning one nvidia card, forget about two. We are not that mean. ;)
