i am lookin to buy a TV card for me comp, i use win xp PRo
LEADTEK WINFAST TV2000XP or ATI TV-WONDER
tehy are both about the same price anyone have expieriance with either? or both?
i need opions, thanks

I would go with the ATI card. I've used 2 ATI TV tuners (TV Wonder VE, and TV Wonder USB) and they both worked pretty well for me. They used to have some software problems but I think they got most of the bugs worked out by now. BTW, I used both with Win XP Pro.

Here's an idea if you're getting a ti4200, get one with VIVO and then get yourself a vcr (or a cable box) and you can watch and record tv stations on either the computer or the vcr. Chances are that you will have a vcr, and it will end up saving you a slot on your mobo.

If I had to pick a tv tuner from the Leadtek or the ATI though, I would pick the Leadtek cause it has more features and I've read the picture is better.

The ATI TV Wonder (which I own) produces a better picture when used with dScaler, compared with using ATI's software.
Use version 3.12, as the latest beta 4.01 has audio problems.
If you want a TV tuner card with the more up to date Conexant CX23881/883 audio/video decoder chip, the MSI TV@nywhere
card can be found on e*b*ay for about the same price as the TV Wonder. This newer Conexant chip is not yet supported by
dScaler, but may/should be in future.

I'm also considering getting a TV card, but choices are limited over here. I'm running Win2K SP3, and the choices I have over here are the Leadtek Winfast TV2000XP, Hauppage WinTV FM and Pinnacle Systems PCTV Pro. The ATI AIW is pretty much out for me since they only have the original Radeon AIW.
