I am about to buy this mobo with the following:

-Leadtek K7NCR 18D mobo
-Athalon XP 2700 333 FSB Socket A
-1024 mb Corsair DDR333

I am pretty confident that I can, with lot of care, overclock the cpu/ram but I am wondering if the mobo will be a performance bottleneck. I am not too familiar with the motherboard but I am sure someone in this forum is. The system is coming pre-built and even tho I will void the warranty by oc'ing, I know that I will not be able to help myself. So is this a good package or am I spending my money on a disappointment? Thanks in advance for any advice =).

You should invest in DDR400 if you're going to overclock.

Most DDR333/PC2700 nowadays WILL NOT go much past DDR333. If it would they would mark it up to PC3000, 3200 or 3500. Don't think just because it's corsair it'll run 50MHz over its rating... they spread their yields out across their different products.

And the difference is so minute between pricing of high-end DDR anyways.

You should be able to get some o/cing out of that combo, not sure if it has the t-bred unlocking trick or not. If it does, you should run the FSB as high as possible and then creep the multiplier up slowly. If DDR400 is not an option, you can just crank the multiplier up.

Read anandtech's nforce2 roundup and do a search for some reviews for the board. I do not think it is a superb overclocker but you should be able to get something out of it.
