I am gonna get a new card tomorrow, which card of these two is better?. I have never used an ATI card before, if I do get the Powercolor would driver support be an issue?.....

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I am abit skeptical about PowerColor, as of certains issuses with them. Underclocked Ram being one of them. Otherwise, with all means go for the 9700!

Unless a company cheated u, the memory CANNOT be undercocked. Thats illegal, cuz a company MUST have Ati's specifications, such as 275core, and 540 ram. I know, this is a common thing when people buy a Pro version, that has like 300 core and 590 memory (result of bad overclocking of a regular 9700). If newegg plays me, and gives me underclocked $hit, i rma it for refund of a full price and tax.

I just got me a 9700, powercolor. Its BETTER thatn GF4 in all aspects (only doesnt have a tv in). Dont even compare the 2. Geforce 4 is cool, as long as AA or AF is off. ATI handles AA and AF awesomely. Even if u had to choose between the 9500 Pro and GF4600 - 9500Pro is still better - DX9 hardware support. More "future proof".
Ati 9700 is #1 stunna!!! Dont even think about GF4, its outdated (its 2 years old, was introduced in march 2001).

And FIC...fic is just gay...liberace gay...

i have the PowerColor 9700 Gold, and it is a great card. about the Ram, the first thing i did when i got it was flash the bios with a retail Pro bios. it's been running great at full pro speeds for a couple months now.

Untrue and certainly not illegal :). ATI holds the specs on the pro cards pretty close, but the NP cards can run the gamut as far as features and components and clockspeeds are concerned. You're only sure about whats embedded in the core..the rest is pretty much left to the manu.

You probably should see which driver sets have issues with which games, and choose according to which fits your software best, then try and ensure you look at guides for uninstalling current drivers/installing new ones to minimise problems caused by user error.
