Well I broke down and bought myself a Leadtek Geforce 4 ti 44000.

I must say it's a nice card.

But...

I ran into a little snag after installing. I can't appear to get the hardware monitor to work from the Winfox app in Winxp. everything else works great except that, and I would like to know how to get it fixed.

any ideas ?????

my stats:

AMD T-bird 1.333
A7V133
512 PC133
Leadtek Geforce 4 Ti 4400
Sigma DVD decoder card.
Viewsonic 19'

Yeah....figures. I had the same problem with my ti200. That software does not work in an NT based environment, only Win 9x or ME. Sux that Win2K/XP has been out for YEARS now and they can't get it worked out.

WinFox is Leadtek's driver utlity. It is very good and it has hardware monitoring, etc. BTW, I don't think I encountered any conflicts installing WinFox on my Windows XP.

hmmm...

Did the hardware monitor work under winxp ?

See i think it might be as simple as flashing my bios on my MB. Just saw today a new Rev and think i will try that out. Another possible problem might be my DVD decoder card causing the problem with the video card. Oh well I guess i have some troubleshooting to due tonight :(

Fed Ex is delivering my GF4 Ti 4400 today. I am running win2000.
All of this is very depressing news. What other problems might be
encountered?
Thanks for your time,
olin:(

I wouldn't worry about it too much. That software is crap anyways. Who cares what the temp of their vid card is?

I have the Leadtek (after returning the very disapointing PNY 4400) and I could not have been happier. I am running the LT 4400 at a silky smooth 306/695. THOUGH...the WINFOX software really does not do it for me. I opted not to install it at all...it just causes problems for no benefits that I saw. Enjoy the card!
