Leadtek G3 LR2860 refurb $41 shipped at newegg, hot?

I don't know (or can find) anything about this card except that it shows up for ~$300 new at several sites. Hope this helps someone.

Any idea why it is still showing up so expensive elsewhere? Did you see the photo? Sure is a big heatsink on this guy.

Also, how would this compare to a 32 mb Apollo Radeon 8500 that I found on pricewatch for $37 shipped?

This card is not worth nearly that much, especially considering that you can get a 128mb Geforce 4 Ti4200 for the same price or less.

Well, woot.com had the Ti4200 for $55 shipped and then refunded $15 back the last time they had it. I'd keep watching there.

I tried to look for this card on the Leadtek website. They basically have 2 - gForce3 cards listed there. This card has about half the numbers of the lower Ti200. If you look at the pic of the box on newegg, you can see some stats there - operations per second / samples per second. Nothing on Leadtek's website matches these numbers. I wouldn't put this much past a gForce4 440 - if that.
