I'd get one but I only have a 350watt PSU and getting a new one would eliminate the hottness of this deal.

A little wary of these 'refurbs'. Newegg has a certain rep. for 'refurb' meaning they ship it out a second time. See this.

Fantastic!
I got this for my birthday.
Here's my system:
512x2 Corsair DDR400
80gbx2SATA@RAID 0
AMD 3200+
Leadtek 6800GT

This videocard is a good chip that can delay our upgrade to s939. I have socket A, and was thinking about upgrading to PCI-E on s939, but when I got this card, the need for upgrade wanished!
I had Radeon 9800pro 128mb/128bit before (bought on newegg earlier), and now, WHAT a difference in games with 6800GT! Especially the Source engine games.
I play on 1024x768x32@100hz all my games, and this card holds any game smooth on high/highest video settings =)
It is an excellent overclocker, too. Aftermarket cooler makes it easy to OC and not worry about heat.
/There was a bad batch of those cards before, but now they are all gone. In case u get bad card, just RMA it to newegg and they'll replace it!
This videocard runs 55-65 degrees C on stock settings in my midtower case.
Overall, a recommended card, if you don't have money for complete upgrade to s939, PCI-E SLI, A64.

I got my card, turns out odds were against me, the card was bad out of the box. Screen all jumbled. Called newegg and got my RMA. They were really cool about it. Since my initial order was overnighted to me, they are gonna overnight my replacement card too! I will definitly order from newegg again!! Thanks Newegg!! :)

They are not supposed to do that. If you get one like that out of the box, get upset and call. They WILL cover your a$$ in my experience. Thinking of ordering one and seeing how it goes...

I'd jump as well, but I already got a bad refurbed ATI card from Newegg. While they are good about taking it back I was still out shipping back as well as the hassle. Hopefully if Nvidia can hit there mark by this fall the 6800GT's should fall in price anyways.

who cares if you get a bad one? NEWEGG WILL REPLACE IT. this price is too cheap to not take a chance if you are looking for a 6800gt.

I was in before the post, we'll see what happens.

Worst case, if it doesn't work I RMA to leadtek.

too bad ive had VERY bad luck with refurb vid boards.

lol Sy, I've had the exact opposite experience. I've ordered 5 refurb video cards off Newegg, and all of them worked without a hitch.

let us know how it turns out. Mine won't be showing up til tomorrow. I think they actually had quite a few available. You could order it for at least a few hours. It went OOS pretty quick though once it got posted to FW.

ack! curse you... I ordered one. Even though I have a 6600GT already, it's currently being RMA'ed :), which is my excuse. I was planning on selling my old card anyway. XFX is a POS. Great deal!

I got a bad refurb from newegg on a 9800pro, they did cover me but it was a hassle and a disappointment. Let us know if these things work, mine seemed to work until I played doom 3 and then it was obvious it was bad. Will manufacturers really give you a new card for a refurb? thought it was 30 days through newegg only?

The great thing about refurb video cards is that you can RMA to the manufacturer if there is anything wrong and they'll send you a new one. At least this has been the case with BFG for me.
