Hey,

I am having some problems with the Leadtek 7350KDA. The board really hasn't been nice to me. I have built 3 systems with the ECS 735 board without any real problems. First the board killed the partition table of my hard drive when i was installing windows xp. I know this probably was a windows thing and not the board but anyway it sucked ass and took a lot of my time to get the partition table back in order. After that the internal Lan card wouldn't work, i finally figured this to be a problem with the board and the santa cruz. I am using the latest bios revision 1/08 and the problems are still there. The board is also beign very picky about when it wants to start and when it doesn't. I also have had better results overclocking with the ecs board than the 7350kda. which sucks cause the reason i got the 7350kda was to try out the supposedly better overclocking abilities. the speed gear app doesn't even work in 2000/XP so its options are just the same as the ecs board with cpufsb. Does anyone know if i should increase the voltage alittle or anythign to make the guy stable. If anyone has a santa cruz and the 7350KDa that works please let me know. I like the santa cruz more than i like the 7350KDA so if they are not compatible then the 7350KDA has got to go. The santa cruz was installed in the last PCi slot, maybe that was the problem.

My systems is as follows:

AthlonXP 1600+
512 crucial 2100
2 Maxtor HD 60 and 80 gig
Pioneer DVD 106s
Rioch CD-RW
Enermax 400 watt PS
Geforce 3
Santa Cruz (not currently installed)
Leadtek 7350KDA

Thanks,

Mike

I have the same board and and is probably one of the worst overclocking boards I have ever used. I have to max the DDR voltage just to be stable @ 138mhz FSB. I have heard that this board doesn't like Micron based DDR that much...like Crucial and Corsair. Supposedly it works well with Nanya and Samsung based DDR. I was going to pick up some of that Kingmax PC2700, but it's a bit expensive right now. I also had a hell of a time getting the internal NIC to work. Windows would see it and everything was apparently working correctly, and it even said I was connected to a 100mbps connection, but it would not grab an IP from my router. I finally figured out that the modem I had in the last PCI slot was causing the problem...

BTW - Where did you get the 1/08 bios? I have been trying to get it from Leadtek, but their link is dead and it's not on their server. Also, I emailed them and they just said the 11/26 bios was the most recent? If you have it could you email it to me?

Thanks for the link! I don't think they took it down because of problems..it is posted as the latest bios on both their Taiwan and US sites...it's just not on the FTP server.. I told them I have no problem using beta bioses. If you have a chance, try some Nanya or Samsung DDR...or even some PC2700 is you can afford it. :)

Also, try the Santa Cruz in another PCI slot. I had trouble with my modem when it was in the bottom PCI slot. Try some of the others and see if your NIC will work. :)

I had to RMA my 7350KDA back to Newegg..

I received one that had numerous registry errors. There was no way to get a clean install... NO way at all.. Registry errors were constant.
