Leadtek 6800GT Screaming :(

Hi all!
I bought a Leadtek 6800GT AGP 256mb/256bit video card last summer ($300). It worked well with my 480w Thermaltake PSU and 19" CRT screen at 1024x768. Recently I got 22" LCD, and running everything on 1680x1050. Couple times image would just disappear (no signal) - I turned PC, waited some time, and it would work again. Now, it turned off in the middle of game (Diablo II), and won't work anymore...no matter what I did, would NOT send signal to monitor. I tried friend's AGP 6200, it works fine - so it isn't the motherboard. It is also not the PSU or monitor because friend tested video card in THREE different computers. Weird thing is, in all 3 the card made painfully loud BEEP. In my comp, it's silent, but doesn't work either.

Oh, and after it turned off in the middle of the game on me, I changed stock lead heatsink to thermaltake cf900 or something like that. It (heatsink/fan) works, but problems are not gone. Card still doesn't show image.

At this point, I don't know what to do. Apparently waranty expired, and I don't know anyone who would be willing to repair the card for small amout of money...

Please help! Thanks.

card is dead...7600GT AGP or even a 6800GS/7800GS would be good for you.

i thought leadtek had a 3 year warranty on their cards...? i sent in my 6600GT AGP which i bought last summer 06 in for an rma just last week...

Nothing looks/smells fried, no capacitors leaking, and yes they have 36 month warranty but I removed stock heatsink/fan 🙁 - probably warranty void?
(Thinking it was the fan in stock that vibrated heavily when spinning - I couldn't find this exact fan so I bought whole new fan/heatsink.)
