They probably will never honor this mistake. They will come in Monday with some excuse and cancel all of the orders, but of course that knowledge won't stop some of us from ordering

at the bottom it does say thanksgiving sale..... it might be legit.... oh well, im in need of a vid card baddddd... so im on the wagon... thanks for the deal.

These cards are supposed to retail for $150 to $200.
I'm in for one. I need a something to power my new dell widescreen and this will hold me off from a full system upgrade until after the new year.

are you sure? I been looking at these cards for a while now and they run from $200-$250 from what I have seen...

Before the cards were released they were supposed to fill the midrange slot. The price range was supposed to be $150 -$200. Supply and demand has allowed retailers to keep the prices high on these cards. I am assuming they are making some very good margins right now. A lot of people were happy to pay $22x for them.

Hopefully supply is catching up and other retailers drop their prices.

I haven't posted here in so many years that by the time I found my password i forgot what i wanted to say. I think the lowest the 6600gt prices are around $200 for the pci-express version.
The new agp version has the exact same parts as the pci-e version but with some bridge chip that is ussually used to make an agp model work as a pci-x card. I really doubt the agp model could possible start selling at a lower price since its exactly the same as the $200+ version of the pci-e card with a bridge chip added on.

Just bought one. Lets see if this works. If so, this is a much better deal than what's currently being offered on Newegg or Buy.com.

Thanks to the OP!

Now i remember what else i left out. You may be thinking of the 6600, which is something like 300mhz core/500mhz ram. The 6600GT is 500mhz core and 1000mhz ram. Its almost a watered down 6800, but its a big step up from the regular 6600's. $150 may end up being $100 dollars under what you will see elsewhere once these cards pop up for sale all over. Now i'm just hoping they either send me a 6600gt, or cancel my order...worst case is the mistake in the ad is the "gt" and they send a damn 6600. Actually from the picture on the site it has the heatsink below the fan on the card where the bridge chip is, so that is definately a picture of a 6600gt for agp.

I wasn't extremely happy, but $225 is what I paid for my XFX 6600GT AGP on Monday when I ordered it from NewEgg.

From what I read on Anandtech, the 6600 vanilla will NOT come out for AGP. It will only be available in PCI-E. The 6600 GT on the other hand will be available in both formats. Therefore, I think this card has to either be a 6600 GT or just a baaad price mistake.

Certainly not holding my breath on this actually going through, but I pulled the trigger nonetheless. If it goes through it would replace my "aging" 9600 Pro in my 2nd gaming machine. If it doesn't, no biggie, I still got a card in it to last me a bit longer.

Take a look at the clock speeds. Says 500/500 but regular 6600GTs are supposed to be 500/1000. Sorry but this looks like a crippled card.

Woops, looks like I was wrong. Corrected by skunkbuster.
