Currently running the following system:

AMD 64 3000+
Gigabyte K8 triton nforce 3
1 gig DDR 3200
2 Hard drives IDE
1 DVD-/+ RW
Sound blaster Audigy
ATI TV VE
Leadtek 6600 agp

What is the ideal power supply for this? Currently running at 380W.

What kind of 380w psu? Is it a generic ppower supply or a reputable brand like fortron, enermax, or antec? I would say that as long as it's a brand name power supply like the ones i mentioned above, it should be plenty for that system.

 Any quality power supply above 350 watts should run that system fine.

An Antec this one:

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=25400

Does it have enough 12volt amps? I disabled one of the CDROMS made sure the card was seeded correctly. Also when it does freeze up I here a high pitch squeel from the speakers on my old 5600 this never happend and when I installed the new card the only thing I did was move the ATI card from the slot under it to a free slot at the other end so thier was nothing to close to the AGP card fan.

The 6600GT AGP cards require a power lead connected to the video card. Did you do this?
