Are eVga and BFG the top tier manufacturers with the best warranty? Including overclocking and heatsink replacement?

i.e. to a zalman or something similar

I don't think that any manufacturer covers any sort of modification, either physical or software based. They warrant their cards as they sell them.

EVGA allows changing the heatsink. They allow everything up to physical damage of the card.

I also vote for EVGA. They cover overclocking and changing the stock heatsink as Pens1566 mentioned. Also they have a lifetime warrenty and a pretty good step up program. Just haev to make sure your cards you buy end in the correct letters that are covered by the step up program. you can go to the web-site to find out what those letters are.

The thing with eVGA's warrenty is it sounds like PNY's old lifetime warrenty. IE once they cease production of the cards they no longer offer a warrenty on it. Who knows if they will give you a new card with comparable performance or not but the future will tell....
