Listed my car on Cars.com a few days ago, got the following e-mail:

Hello,
I have a client that is interested in buying your
car for his son,He informed me that the payment will
be remmited via a certified check . Is okay with the
price and also the conditions of the car. In order
to conclude the deal as soon as possible, the check
that will be sent to you will include the money for
the sales of your item and the shippers fees for the
pick up of the car So you will be sending the
shipper's money the sameday you receive the check
through Western Union Money Transfer
,so that you
dont get him delay regarding the shipping
arrangment,So you will have to provide your full
name, your address and phone numbers, where to mail
the check.
Thanks,
James

What bugs me most is this guy wants me to pay the shipper the same day I get the check, before it's even cleared.

What sets off alarm bells is:

1.) Western Union
2.) He doesn't even have to look at the car in person
3.) Why do I have to pay the shipper the same day, and if $ is being transferred through Western Union, why am I getting the check "mailed" directly to me?

If this is a scam, it's the most creative one yet.

Advice?

Edit: I'm a fvcking moron...I'm just so used to seeing scam letters with horrible spelling that come from Nigeria or the Phillippines that I didn't think twice.
