le parkour/free running?

i just saw "jump britain"

the stuff these guys were doing was incredible. this sorta sparked my interest in parkour, actually sorta is not accurate.... it more like completely caught my attention, and now i'm pretty interested in starting this thing.

anyone else involved with this activity? if so, what can you tell a total neophyte about it?

also, does anyone do this in the KC area?

Oh...I think it's also called base jumping (still no clue really)? I think its where you jump off a tall building / structure and parachute to the ground. I believe it's illegal in the US (at least most states).

Imagine running through the Urban landscape doing tricks off things like you would on a skateboard or BMX and you are half way there.
